Successful Commissioning of the Automatic Gas Collector Pipe Control System

Dec 04,2023

It is learned that the negative-pressure coal charging renovation project for coke ovens started construction in May 2020 with a total investment of 22 million yuan. The automatic gas collector pipe control system, a sub-project of the coke oven negative-pressure coal charging renovation project, was undertaken by Xi'an Zhongcheng Automation Engineering Co., Ltd.

Influencing Factors of Gas Collector Pipe Cooling

Dec 04,2023

The cooling of coke oven gas and its resulting dew point temperature are affected by the following factors: moisture content of coal charge, gas temperature before entering the gas collector pipe, circulating ammonia water volume and inlet temperature, and ammonia water spraying effect, among which the moisture content of coal charge exerts the most significant impact. Under typical production conditions, every 1% reduction in coal moisture can lower the dew point temperature by 0.6 to 0.7°C. Evidently, reducing coal moisture is critical for gas cooling in both gas collector pipes and primary coolers.

Why Did the Gas Collector Pipe of the Hydrogen Production Unit Crack Suddenly?

Nov 30,2023

A company adopts Technip reformers to produce hydrogen and syngas in its hydrogen production process. The upper gas collector pipe of the reformer serves as the feed system, with a medium mixture of steam and natural gas flowing inside. An endothermic reaction takes place inside the reformer tubes under the action of catalysts to generate hydrogen and other gases. The upper gas collector pipe is made of TP347H steel, with a design operating temperature of 635°C and a design operating pressure of 4.3 MPa.

How Much Do You Know About Liquid Distributors in Refrigeration Systems?

Jul 28,2022

Also known as liquid separators, liquid distributors are auxiliary devices installed between expansion valves and evaporators within refrigeration systems. Their core function is to evenly and proportionally distribute the two-phase refrigerant mixture discharged from the expansion valve to each coil circuit of the evaporator.
